Of course I knew
we couldn't meet today
but I made sure I would look nice.
For you.
Even though you wouldn't see me.
This day is important to me.
Because of you.
Because I had the
chance to meet you.
So,
today was a somber day.
I saw you in your Sunday best
although we didn't meet.

And I looked pretty,
just for you,
at your funeral.
