choice?

Trailing the tears is a fear of acceptance
of the past sins of the righteous
     don’t look back

Into the eyes of a killer is a thriller
left unsaid by the mother of a stillborn
      I will always love him

A choice to end a life that cannot be mended
by strife cause from medical necessity
     how can you take this away?

Her body, her womb, her future
his demon, his seed, his silence

A price to pay is not paid in bills
but in time and tears and toil

Should we all not have the choice
of what to do with our lives? Whether it be
to breathe or choke, to soar or dive

If my decisions affect you,
I’m sorry I’m not sorry, but am I really?

Take your rhetoric and live your life,
sad, alone, and without me.
